Client: Small Business BC
Project: Small Business BC, British Columbia’s premiere resource centre for knowledge-based business products and services, approached me to rewrite the “Starting a Business”, “Growing a Business”, and “Exiting a Business” sections of their website. With a large group of subject matter experts contributing to the site, each with his or her own style, Small Business BC needed a copywriter to unify 36 different sections of content with one friendly, yet professional voice. In addition to copyediting all 36 sections, I also fact checked where appropriate, added some new content, and created a professional style guide.

Client: Bean Services Inc.
Project: Bean Services, a leading provider of accounts payable processing software, needed a homepage and product pages that struck a chord with its target audience. The new copy not only reflects Bean’s somewhat irreverent brand, Bean’s product and service benefits and USP are now clear and compelling.

Client: Maple Leaf Self Storage
Project: Maple Leaf Self Storage is one of the largest self storage companies in Western Canada. For the launch of their new website, Maple Leaf Self Storage hired me to rewrite the Residential and Business Storage sections of their site. The new sections were reorganized to appeal to different target markets and written in a style that reflects the company’s brand. The new content is also easy to read online and optimized for search engines.

Client: British Columbia Automobile Association
Project: I write and edit BCAA’s monthly eletter, which includes an HTML email, multiple subject lines, and promotional landing pages. BCAA’s eletter consistently beats industry-average click-through and click-to-open rates. I also write web pages for BCAA products and services.  Bike Assist is a recent example.

Client: Mt. Daniel Waterfront Resort
Project: I wrote this brohcure as part of a series of marketing pieces promoting Mt. Daniel Waterfront Resort on the Sunshine Coast of BC. I also rewrote the Mt. Daniel Waterfront Resort web site pages, ensuring a consistent and compelling message.

Client: LifeScan Canada
Project: Working with a direct mail team, I wrote the copy for this brochure promoting a free meter giveaway.

Company: Seagate Software
Project: This is one of several pieces I created to promote Seagate Software’s partner program.
