Services provided: Copywriting, editing
Project: I write and edit BCAA’s monthly eletter, which includes an HTML email, multiple subject lines, and promotional landing pages. BCAA’s eletter consistently beats industry-average click-through and click-to-open rates.

Client: Absolute Landscaping
Services provided: Copywriting
Project: Absolute Landscaping is a successful North Vancouver-based landscaping company that was in need of a major website redesign. Working in partnership with Wesley Corbett Design and Crux Interactive, we built a new website with a strong call-to-action that showcases Absolute Landscaping projects. The goal of the copy was to maintain the site’s high search engine rankings, build credibility with potential customers, and communicate proprietor’s Dean Ogden’s amiable yet professional approach, and highest level of commitment to customer service.

Client: Small Business BC
Services provided: Copywriting, editing, style guide
Project: Small Business BC, British Columbia’s premiere resource centre for knowledge-based business products and services, approached me to rewrite the “Starting a Business”, “Growing a Business”, and “Exiting a Business” sections of their website. With a large group of subject matter experts contributing to the site, each with his or her own style, Small Business BC needed a copywriter to unify 36 different sections of content with one friendly, yet professional voice. In addition to copyediting all 36 sections, I also fact checked where appropriate, added some new content, and created a professional style guide.

Client: Bean Services Inc.
Services provided: Copywriting, information architecture
Project: Bean Services, a leading provider of accounts payable processing software, needed a homepage and product pages that struck a chord with its target audience. The new copy not only reflects Bean’s somewhat irreverent brand, Bean’s product and service benefits and USP are now clear and compelling.

Client: Maple Leaf Self Storage
Services provided: Copywriting
Project: Maple Leaf Self Storage is one of the largest self storage companies in Western Canada. For the launch of their new website, Maple Leaf Self Storage hired me to rewrite the Residential and Business Storage sections of their site. The new sections were reorganized to appeal to different target markets and written in a style that reflects the company’s brand. The new content is also easy to read online and optimized for search engines.

Project: Working with a direct mail team, I wrote the copy for this brochure promoting a free meter giveaway.
